Mutoh Europe

If you are thinking of purchasing a Mutoh machine in Europe - please read this site before doing so.

We are writing exactly why -- we do NOT recommend this company.

Yes - the machines are good - actually great - however - there is absolutely no technical support - nor parts.

When we need a quick response - and it has been 12 years now - well - we have to turn down job after job -- due to Mutoh´s total lack of Customer Service and tech support.

No - nothing personal - we witnessed many before us - experience the same exact story. We thought - at the time - the others must be "problem clients" - as Mutoh was so accommodating.

Of course - once you buy the machine - this completely changes.

THE NIGHTMARE BEGINS !!!!!!!

No wonder this is published >>

2011 : Mutoh Belgiums announces the layoff of 124 employees; 45 employees will remain.

We were so fed up with MUTOH - that we began this blog - to warn others to stay away from this group.

Funny - look for second hand large format printers - worldwide. The most listed are Mutohs - not because they have sold many - but because companies like mine - become fed up - sell their Mutoh machines and change to a reliable brand with proper tech support.

They publish proudly >>
We have been in business since 1953, starting with high end drafting machines, moving to pen/pencil plotter technology and cutting plotters. We have been active in the wide-format printer industry for more than 20 years. In Europe alone, more than 20000 wide-format Mutoh printers and more than 25000 Mutoh cutting plotters have been installed.
Let´s see 20,000 printers in 20 years = 1,000 machines a year. OUCH - no wonder they do not have support.

The population of the EU European Union was 499 million as of 2008.

With a combined population of over 500 million inhabitants,  or 7.3% of the world population, the EU in 2012 generated a nominal gross domestic product (GDP) of 16.584 trillion US dollars, representing approximately 20% of the global GDP when measured in terms of purchasing power parity, and represents the largest nominal GDP and GDP PPP in the world.

Now - what happened - that Mutoh has gone under ?
2011 : Mutoh Belgiums announces the layoff of 124 employees; 45 employees will remain.

124 + 45 = 169 total - down to 27 % of their original stall in 2011 is left working.
